Before we get into today's Water Wednesday newsletter, a wee update:
I've partnered with two local yoga studios to create something I'm really excited about: Back to Nature Walks.
For 90 minutes, we're unplugging from everything else and reconnecting with what actually matters—ourselves, each other, and the natural world around us.
We'll walk slowly through the beaches or forests here in Martin County, Florida. I'll share what's happening in nature this time of year (shark migrations in the water, bird migrations overhead). There will be laughs, community, and quiet moments for reflection. Then we close with 30 minutes of gentle yoga to ground back into our bodies.
It's for anyone who feels like they need to slow down. No meditation or yoga experience required—just bring curiosity and comfortable shoes.
Our first walks are January 24 at the beach and February 1 in the woods. $45 per person, all levels welcome.

What I learned from writing a book
Writing a book was far more of a process than I could have ever dreamed. Click here for the six critical book writing lessons I learned, and what's next in this journey.
A funny thing about goals and resolutions
I've been thinking a lot about what makes resolutions (and goals) go from a dream to an accomplishment. Spoiler: It's not willpower or motivation. It's something more gradual and, thankfully, more forgiving. It's also something we're wired against. Click here to read more.
If the New Year's hype isn't landing for you (and maybe never has), there may be a reason for it. Unsurprisingly, Nature has a thing or two to teach us here.
Have a wonderful rest of your week!

Back to Nature
Getting outside is vital to our health and the health of the planet. The cool part is, to reap the benefits, you only need a few minutes a day. This course is designed to be fun and easy to do-- and perhaps spark an adventure or two.
